Day 13 Hornillos to Hontanos

This may be be updated. Probably stopping here at Hontanos.
Started out about 7:00, up on to the meseta again. The sky was very overcast and misty. A surreal landscape. Gorgeous, but a little sticky. Turned off for a coffee at a Bohemian looking alberque at San Mol, 10 minutes later it bucketed rain, hail and lightning (see picture). Good timing. Waited that out, then just a muddy walk. I felt 6 feet tall, must have been all the mud stuck on the boots.

Later that day, yep good looking digs, the weather has fallen apart. A quiet Sunday (apart from the thunder) is the game plan. Plenty of soaked pilgrims coming through. The rain is not the issue, but lightning on the meseta, and mudddddd. Hopefully tomorrow is dryer. Trying to upload some pictures, but this is a slow connection, so I am compressing them a lot. Sorry. The picture of Bruce the Bear on my pack is for the boys.

Might try to get past Castrojeriz tomorrow.

Hi Ashely, you are not far from half way now. Great travelling! The rest should be easier. You'll be pleased to know the Kangaroos won again (equal number of wins with the Crows).

Its great to finally see some of what you are experiencing. Remember that BRUCE the bear has two little boys waiting at home for him to come back, just like they are waiting for you. We are enjoying following your steps. Lots of love from Riley, Callum and me.

His Ashley,
You need to know that the cats are on fire and have knocked off west coast , richmond and freeo and take on the tools this weekend.
Sound like a great journey, we need a picture of you in Spain with the kangaroos jumper! The spiritual side of nature can be quite awesome.
Enjoy yourself

You don't need to apologise about the bear. Many people have all sorts of things for their security and comfort. I know of some who may be of some help if you wish.

A word of warning....Be careful. Know your fellow traveller. Bruce's real name is actually GAZZA (Gazza the Aussie Bear, DOB 21/02/2006), a Pisces. Pisces are creative, sensitive and deeper than they actually appear on the surface, - they can be emotionally vulnerable, CLINGING rather than melancholic. Just be warned.....

Pics look good. I hope the weather isn't too unBEARable.

Elliana (the celestial fairy bear) thinks that Bruce (aka Gazza) is really hot.
